Not even raising the fact after death Bakura is sealed within a millennium item, in the same spot where the rest of Kul Elna was slaughtered to forge them. Atem does not merely fail to remedy or even adequately acknowledge the monstrous injustice at hand; Atem, backed into a corner, grieving, already doomed, finishes his uncle’s dirty work. And then they wait 3,000 years and relive it all again, right on script. The greek tragedy of it all really gets me.
